The Dance Show makes its debut!

The Dance Show is Britain’s newest Dance Exhibition and is set to take the Midlands by storm! Transforming the NEC into a dance extravaganza from 3rd -5th December 2010, the Show will bring street, style, grace and glamour to Birmingham for three fantastic days packed with dance classes, performances and shopping. Whether you love watching dance, teaching, performing or are looking to branch out your skills and try new styles then The Dance Show has something for you! Visit the Central Stage to watch performances from professionals and competitive troupes, or catch the stars of the future with exclusive sets from youth companies Ballet Central and Quicksilver Youth Dance. The Dance Show features 4 purpose built workshop studios with classes in everything from street to salsa, ballet to breakdancing. Learn from leading professionals, TV stars and top dance companies including Rambert Dance Company. Or why not try something new such as House or Lindyhop? Show us what you’ve got on the Freestyle Stage, where visitors will battle it out in the style of their choice in front of a live audience. Bring your own music, bring your own moves – this is your chance to get noticed! You’ll be able to find out all you need to know to get ahead in the industry. If you’re just starting out then come along and meet schools, colleges and universities offering courses in dance and related subjects. Or if you’re looking to develop your portfolio and career then talk to leading casting agencies including Spotlight and performers trade union Equity. And of course there’ll be plenty of shopping to help you stock up your studio, whether it’s gorgeous fabric for your next Latin costume, a pair of comfy dance sneakers or Pilates equipment to keep your body in tip top condition.
