Young Company Dance at the Theatre Royal Plymouth

If you are between the ages of 5 and 25 years you can become a member of the Young Company at the Theatre Royal Plymouth. As a member you can take part in a changing season of activities including one off and ongoing workshops, as well as the chance to audition for Young Company productions in the Drum Theatre or be part of the design and production team. 

The Young Company have a wide range of courses in everything to do with theatre-making: from playwriting to theatre design and making, to acting and dance. All workshops are run by professional practitioners at the award winning TR2 building.

The Young Company run two Saturday dance workshops during term time for Young Company members and previous participants have had the opportunity to perform at festivals such as the critically acclaimed Breakin’ Convention International Festival of Hip Hop Dance Theatre and more recently in our very own festival Feast, performing with other Creative Learning projects in the Drum Theatre.

A fusion of dance styles including Jazz, Modern and Street. All abilities welcome.
When: Saturday 9.30am>11.30am

A highly physical class exploring a range of dance styles including contemporary and street.
When: Saturday 12pm>2pm

Membership to the Young Company is £6 per year and all courses are £45 per term. Assisted places are available at a discount rate of 30%.
