Date: 17th September 08, 10 am to 4.15 pm

Venue: Plymouth Music Zone

Artsplan, the training and publications department of Artswork and the in-house training provider of ENYAN (English National Youth Arts Network) is pleased to be delivering our ‘Behaviour Management and Youth Arts’ course at the South West Artsplan Training Centre.

The course looks into improving skills, knowledge and experience in order to develop an understanding of behavioural management and examines the issues and barriers that are faced when undertaking Youth Arts projects.

Set up and led by experienced and knowledgeable youth arts specialists, this course explores the practical aspects of behavioural management: health and safety issues, risk assessment and achieving key objectives. It aims to promote a style of engaging with young people that encourages positive behaviour to the benefit of all involved.

Participants recently undertaking this course have been keen to endorse the training:

‘As a recently employed youth arts worker (dance) the course has been excellent- especially as asking questions hasn’t been a problem and terminology has been greatly accessible also’.

‘Well planned yet flexible. This has been one of the best courses I’ve attended for a long time – thank you!’.

All participants will receive a certificate of attendance upon successful completion of the course and a wealth of practical resources. Prices for the courses, which include lunch and refreshments, range from £150 to £110, with limited bursaries available. Please also remember that all ENYAN members can receive 5% discount on all Artsplan publications and training!
