Fresh

Dance South West is developing Fresh, a new programme of work designed to identify and nurture talent in the south west. This will involve creating opportunities for dance students to have more creative preparation before they attend college and a programme of mentoring and support for students once they have graduated.

A scheme is currently being developed for graduates and will include a year of mentoring, work- based placements and performance opportunities. This opportunity will be available to 10 students per year by application and will launch in 2009.

In addition to this Dance South West has launched G.A.P - the Graduate Apprentice Passport. This scheme is open to anyone from the south west who has graduated in dance in the last five to support a work based placement. To download further information on how to apply please see link below.

Dance South West are striving to provide clear progression routes for young people in the south west who want a career in dance, from engaging through the youth dance programme, developing the Centre for Advanced Training, through to the mentoring scheme and the G.A.P programme.
